Description

Red Brick Glass Roof House is a monumental architectural dollhouse handmade by Eric Lansdown in his studio in Gabian, southern France. Rising to 185 cm, the piece draws upon French Second Empire architecture through its red-and-cream painted façade, tall windows, classical ornament, metal balconies and sculptural mansard roofline.

A glazed roof lantern crowns the building, bringing lightness and transparency to its richly detailed silhouette. Built from wood, metal, resin, acrylic and latex, every surface is worked by hand to suggest age, scale and atmosphere.

Like all Lansdown architectural works, the house is conceived as an incomplete world: a collectible art object that leaves space for its future owner to furnish, interpret and continue its story.
