Description

Piccolo Toscano is a slender architectural dollhouse inspired by the ochre façades, cypress trees and classical proportions of Tuscany. Its hand-painted, timeworn exterior is composed of tall windows, miniature metal balconies, classical columns and a finialled parapet, while the decorated plinth and tapered legs allow it to stand as a sculptural piece of collectible furniture.

A hinged façade opens to reveal three interior levels, left intentionally unfinished for the collector’s imagination. Handmade by Eric Lansdown in Gabian, southern France, the work combines traditional decorative painting, modelmaking, carving and metalwork in acrylic, latex, metal, resin and wood.
