Cypress House (1 of 3)
Description
Cypress House is a tall architectural dollhouse handmade by Eric Lansdown in his studio in Gabian, southern France. One of a series of three related works, it rises to 142 cm and brings together wood, painted finishes, metal, resin, acrylic and latex.
Conceived as an incomplete world, the piece leaves space for its future collector to furnish, interpret and continue its story. Its slender proportions and layered architectural façade reflect Lansdown’s practice of translating full-scale architecture into collectible works intended to be lived with and passed between generations.
